Hello, my name is Aiden Ponce and I’m a queer, multi-media artist, songwriter, and musician from Salinas, California. I am an alumnus of Musicians Institute and I have worked on branding myself with the artist name, Diane Copen as a way to better express my gender identity through my art.

     Art has always been an enjoyable past-time in my life, but I really started to care about it when I was in high school. I encountered a lot of bullying, which lead to a decline in my mental health. After struggling in silence for a while, I decided to turn to art as a way of expressing my emotions. My introspective poems became songs and I truly felt like I found my calling. This gave me the confidence to branch out to other mediums of art. 

     From vividly painted, interactive murals, to beautiful nature photography, to music that has multi-genre influences with strong roots in rock, there is something for every emotion under the sun. 

     Getting people involved in art is what it is all about, so if you see anything you like, please let me know. Also, feel free to let me know if there is anything you would like to see more of. Everyone may have a different story, but art shows us that we have more in common than we think.
